Obituary of Moses Kanner

KANNER - Moses, 88, of St. Pete Beach, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Northside Hospital & Heart Institute in St. Petersburg. Born in Podjeichiki, Poland, he became a Florida resident in 1991 from Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, where he owned and operated Granada Motel for twenty-one years. He was a Holocaust survivor and a member of Congregation B'nai Israel in St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife, Zlata "Lottie"; his son, Bernard (Jacqueline) Kanner of St. Petersburg, Florida; a brother, Meyer Kanner of Florida, and five grandchildren; Richard, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Eric, of St. Petersburg, Florida, Brian, Michael, and Lauren, all of Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Kanner was preceded in death by his beloved son, Abraham. Funeral services are 10 AM Monday April 23, 2007 at David Gross Funeral Home, Beth David Chapel with Rabbi Jacob Luski and Hazzan David Sislen officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 12905 Wildacres Road in Largo. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Beth David Chapel is serving the family.
