More than my Best Friend, we became Brothers. You were an Uncle to my children a star in the night, always there for me 40 years together just not enough time. A hole in my heart that will never heal.

We met Joe(and Kevin) many years ago on vacation in Key West. Nobody was ever a stranger for long with Joe being around. We became fast friends with Joe/Kevin another couple Brett/Bernie. We ended up vacationing together and spending weekends together for many years. Later, another Joe/Kevin. joined us. Our travels included Key West, Detroit, Chicago and Saugatuck.
Joe’s laugh would draw people in to our group. Joe loved a good joke or prank and would laugh that joyful laugh. I remember once in a Key West bar, Joe accidentally/on purpose pushed me into an old man so the guy would think I was hitting on him. In the years to come, that story become bigger and grander but the way Joe told it, you couldn’t help but giggle and laugh about it.
His stories, his laugh and his personality will live on in all of us for the rest of our lives. And Joe, if you are out there, I hope you are reading this because if we had to say it out loud, no doubt type would say “What?” Love you buddy.
