Obituary of Barbara June Strickland

Barbara June Strickland, of Seminole, passed away on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023.

She lived on a farm in Durant, Oklahoma where her and her brother Bill Cole worked the farm alongside their dad, Ira Cole, played high school basketball, got married in 1953 to a military police airman, our dad Hoyt J Strickland Sr. After having 4 children, she opened a clothing boutique in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After moving to Georgia, she continued raising her children and being a housewife. Mom was the best mother, wife, and friend. Mom never meet a stranger as she was always the life of the party.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Debra Nell (Rex) Wilson, sons Hoyt J.(Terri) Strickland and Herb A Strickland, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Hoyt Sr and her daughter Vickie.

Mom, this is for you from us,we will always have you in our hearts and never stop loving you. Mom will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
