Obituary of David Loebenberg

David A. Loebenberg, 67 of St. Petersburg, was born March 18th, 1956 in Chicago Ill and died October 30th. David was laid to rest next to his mother, Edie. He moved to St.Petersburg with his family in 1969 and subsequently graduated from USF,  working for US Health Corporation/US Enterprises with his Father, Walter. US Health Corp was one of the largest privately held hospital systems in Florida at the time. David also was the principal behind the Hooters Jet funny car and the 1989 attempt by Jet Motor Sports to break the world water speed record. David loved the water and was an avid boater, scuba diver, skier, fisherman and swimmer. David died at home surrounded by his family and friends. Survivors include, his wife Sheila, his children, Jacob, Angelica and Zachary, (Micaela) four grand children- James, Aubriella, Ashlyn and Maiya. His siblings, Mike, Sandy, Tony and their spouses, Terry,  Scooter and Ballaire along with many nieces, and nephews. David will always be remembered for making people laugh.  The family suggests donations to the Florida Holocaust Museum or The American Cancer Society.
